About Delilah Belvedere
I started writing because I wanted to create a space where sensuality, curiosity, and self-discovery could exist without judgment. Exploring Taboos was my first step into that space: stories about desire, confidence, and giving ourselves permission to explore. With The Half Kasst, I took that same freedom somewhere completely different, into a world of African-inspired mythology, ancestral power, vampires, witches, magic, and forbidden desire.
I love stories that push boundaries and play with the unexpected. Whether I’m writing about desires we don’t always talk about or creating supernatural worlds where Black characters, culture, power, and sensuality take center stage, I want to tell stories that feel bold, different, and unapologetically mine. I don’t believe we have to fit neatly into one box, and neither do my stories.
Feeling sexy is, at its core, about feeling good in your own skin, owning your desires, and knowing you’re worthy of pleasure and exploration. My hope is that through my stories, you’ll feel seen, accepted, and encouraged to embark on your own journey, whether it’s playful, daring, or simply curious.
